for everyone
"I long to see my homeland nature ..
My own backyard and garden ...
To breath in its sweet fresh air ..
And taste its purity and essence ..."

On the fourth day of Chinese New Year, I finally have the privilege to kayak one of the many many rivers in Sarawak, the Bengoh River at Borneo Highlands. Thanks to Francis of KuchingKayak for opening my door to see how beautiful Sarawak is, even if its just a river and its chocolate in color.

I have a fun time kayaking downstream from Bengoh, a Bidayuh Village to Semadang Village for a good 3 hours half despite the rain. Once a while, we let the kayak drifts down following the current and admires the wonderful shapes of rocky outcrop by the river bank. Quarter way downstream, we stop by Danu Village - another Bidayuh village before proceeding down and hitting the water for a nice kampung swim! Here sharing with you .. my kayaking experience in Borneo.

River of Sarawak

Naturally shaped by waters

The starting point at Bengoh village

arWooo..the journey starts here

Francis, Kim & Angie

Young Bidayuh girls

Paddy

Bahaaha..this is Francis

Sarawak Pepper

Beautiful Danu village

Still drizzles, still shooting

Parking our kayak

Strong Bidayuh grandma

Misty limestone hill surrounding Bengoh

So peaceful out here

Where is woof? Time for a swim!

Kim & Angie playing water

Down the river

I love this stretch

Overhanging trees on big rocks

Huge rock outcrop

Gunung Ais krim..hihi

Tarzan's swing

Angie is stuck. kakaka

In a small opening by the river bank

Francis & Kim

Nearing the end of the journey

Better than cookies and jam

Beautiful shaped rocks
